This is an overnight tour that includes accommodation, all meals, and entrance fees for your convenience.
All the proceeds from this tour go directly to support all the 150 less privileged children in our orphanage care centre in Buduburam.
Itinery
Day 1
On day one you will arrive at the Kotoka International Airport. A guide from Star Tours Ghana will meet you on arrival and escort you to your hotel, a beach resort in Accra. A briefing about the tour will be given at a welcoming dinner.
Day 2 Accra
Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park
Located in downtown Accra, Ghana is the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Mausoleum. It has a Mausoleum which is the final resting place of Ghana’s first President and Africanist. The park has a museum that hosts rare artefacts relating to Ghana’s independence and tours at the park give visitors in-depth history of the Sub-saharan struggle for independence.
Independence Square, Accra Ghana
Ghana’s Independence Square contains monuments to Ghana’s independence struggle, this includes the Independence Arch, Black Star Gate, and the Liberation Day Monument. Our experienced guides will give you a deep understanding of Ghana’s fight and struggle for independence.
National Museum of Ghana, Barnes Rd., Accra Ghana
The museum has three primary collection areas; archaeology, ethnography, and art, which are used to weave together a story about Ghana’s rich cultural history. Our well experienced tour guides will teach and explain to you each item in the museum and its relation to Ghana’s culture and history.
Legon Botanical Gardens
Our next stop will be the Legon Botanical Gardens. After exploring the magnificence of the garden; you’ll be met with relaxation and excellent cuisine at the beach resort in Accra.
Day 3 Accra – Hohoe
Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary
We will set off to the Volta Region of Ghana to visit Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary. This town is where to experience wild but playful Mona monkeys that have been inhabiting the protected forest for over about 200yrs. A guide will take us to the forest to feed and pet the monkeys while also learning their history and its importance to the people.
Wli Falls (highest waterfall in Ghana and tallest in West Africa)
We will drive to the remote village of Wli to the highest waterfall in West Africa. It has a lower and upper falls. We will test our bravery by climbing to the upper falls to take a refreshing swim.
Overnight stay and dinner at a hotel close to the waterfall.
Day 4 Liate Wote – Koforidua
Mountain Afajato (highest in Ghana)
On day four your hiking skills will be put to the test! We will wake up early in order to attempt the climb to the highest mountain in Ghana, Mountain Afajato.
Lipke Caves
After the trek we will visit the six Lipke Caves before heading to Koforidua
Once arriving in Koforidua, you will be able to get some much-deserved food and rest.
Day 5 Koforidua – Kumasi
Boti Falls
After our early morning breakfast, we will head to the Boti waterfalls. Boti Falls is a twin waterfall located at Boti in Yilo Krobo District in the Eastern Region of Ghana. These twin falls, which come from two rivers, are referred to as female and male; according to local myth, a rainbow is formed when they merge.
Umbrella Rock Formation
The Umbrella Rock is a rock formation some few minutes drive away from the site of the Boti falls. We will hike through the forest to visit this beautiful rock formation. There are other rock formations in the forest area that we will stop to admire before getting to the umbrella rock. As the name implies, the overhang on the top is large enough to cover 12 to 15 people at once. Some tourist chooses to be driven to the site because they are unable to hike to the umbrella rock. The choice is yours!
The Palm Tree with 3 trunks
After the umbrella rock; we will visit mysterious palm tree with 3 trunks. Growing by itself the locals believe this is not an ordinary scene thereby they attach a spiritual meaning to it.
From here we will drive to Kumasi.
Day 6 Kumasi
On day five, you will learn more about the Ashantis
Manhyia Palace
We will start the day with a visit to the Manhyia Palace. The Manhyia Palace is the home of the Asantehene, the absolute monarch of the Ashanti kingdom. At the palace you’ll get the opportunity to learn first-hand about the Ashanti’s epic history.
Okomfo Anokye Sword Site
After learning about the history of the Ashanti kingdom we will visit the Okomfo Anokye Sword site – the ‘immovable’ Sword driven into the ground by Okomfo Anokye remains.
Our next stop will be lake Bosomtwe.
Lake Bosomtwe
Lake Bosumtwi is the only natural lake in Ghana. The lake has no surface outlet and was formed in a meteorite impact. At the lake you’ll be able to relax in nature while enjoying magnificent views.
Day 7
we will take a boat ride on the lake to learn its history and visit other villages around the lake before we depart to Accra.

This will be pre-determined prior to your booking and will depend on your budget. We offer the choice from High-end, to mid-range and budget options.
Food
All our standard tour prices include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, in addition we have fruit and snacks when available on all our vehicles.

Unlimited mineral water is available to every participant for the duration of your time with us on all our tours.
Transportation
In a fully air-conditioned vehicle for the duration of your tour, vehicle type will depend on the group size and all our vehicles are comprehensively insured and in excellent condition.
Driver
All our drivers are highly experienced and employed on a full-time basis by our company, their focus is on your safety and comfort. On the occasions we may need to rent vehicles and drivers from outside our company, these are well known to us and are of the highest quality with your safety and comfort as their priority.
Fuel
Unlimited daily milage and all fuel is included in the tour price.
